The Hunger Games
A-
Unlike the eight miserable Harry Potter movies, The Hunger Games stands out as both faithful and artful. It even fixes many of the flaws of the source material without abandoning the thematic value.
Team Gale.
Moneyball

Despite losing some focus ‘round about the middle, this baseball film (which contains very little baseball) is actually quite good.
The Help
B
Deeply moving performances make up for over-crowded plotting.
Harry Potter 7: Part 2
C
Weightlessly drifted from important event to important event with surprising levity. Some strong points, but overall, not as deep or complex as the previous film.
John Carter
B-
It really was an enjoyable flick, but they somehow managed to make it more complicated than the source material. Most of the film was spent trying to iron out its own convolution. I wish some of the characters had more time to shine. If you want some real fun, read the book.
